Edgar Kaminskyi, MD, PhD, is a Ukrainian plastic surgeon and ENT specialist practising in Italy. He began his medical career in 2008 and worked in private clinics in Kyiv, Ukraine, from 2012 to 2019. From 2019 to 2022, he owned and managed KAMINSKYI CLINIC in Kyiv, where he also performed plastic surgery. He has performed surgery in Italy since 2022, at Columbus Clinic Center in Milan and Clinica Ruesch in Naples. As of 2026, he practises exclusively in Italy.

His clinical practice combines aesthetic and functional surgery with detailed anatomical assessment and individualized computer-assisted surgical planning. His main areas of expertise include aesthetic, functional, preservation and revision rhinoplasty, as well as facial and neck rejuvenation. His work also encompasses aesthetic breast surgery, including clinical practice, international teaching and published research.

Rhinoplasty is a central focus of his surgical practice, research and international teaching. His approach addresses the nose as a complete anatomical and functional structure, encompassing the nasal dorsum, bony framework, septum, tip and airway. He has developed his own approach to closed rhinoplasty, integrating preservation principles with techniques selected according to each patient’s anatomy, functional needs and aesthetic goals.

A distinctive element of his work is a personalized preoperative rhinoplasty planning algorithm that he developed and clinically evaluated. It combines high-frequency ultrasound, computed tomography (CT), computer-assisted assessment, 3D modelling and AI-assisted analysis to evaluate bone, cartilage and soft tissues and inform the selection of surgical techniques. Dr. Kaminskyi completed his PhD research at Bogomolets National Medical University in 2025, focusing on the formation of the bony nasal dorsum in aesthetic rhinoplasty. His scientific and educational interests include rhinoplasty planning, osteotomies, dorsal preservation, nasal tip shaping and support, and the relationship between nasal appearance and function. In facial rejuvenation, his surgical practice includes endoscopic facelift, deep plane facelift and deep neck lift. His approach considers the upper face, midface, jawline and neck as interconnected regions, with surgical planning tailored to each patient’s anatomy and pattern of ageing. He places particular emphasis on anatomical precision, tissue repositioning and preservation of individual facial identity.

Dr. Kaminskyi is listed by the European Academy of Facial Plastic Surgery (EAFPS) as an approved tutor for its European Rhinoplasty Masterclass. He contributes to international surgical education as a tutor, conference speaker and invited faculty member. His presentations cover preoperative assessment and computer-assisted planning, osteotomies, dorsal management, tip refinement and the principles of his approach to closed rhinoplasty. He also teaches facial anatomy and techniques in endoscopic and deep plane facial rejuvenation.

Alongside his clinical and teaching work, he personally scripts, models and animates original 3D educational videos explaining surgical anatomy and operative techniques. Through his lectures and extensive YouTube collection, he uses these visual resources to make complex anatomical relationships and surgical concepts easier to understand.

He served as co-director alongside Alessandro Gualdi of the MFI Academy Milano Face Intense Course, held on 17–19 January 2025.
