About the painting:
Canvas, oil. The painting was made in 2014.This picture tells us about the author’s fears. The fight scenes between man and an animal is symbolic of how he is coping with these fears. And for the viewers it looks like he is just trying to get rid of them. In other words, art acts as a therapy for him.
«I portray my fears on a canvas and they lose their power over me. In some paintings I even make fun of them», – says Dmytro Moldovanov.
About the author:Dmytro Moldovanov was born in 1967 in Mykolaiv, Ukraine. He graduated from the famous Grekov Odessa Art school. At the prime of his career he abandoned professional education.
In 2009 participated in the “New naïve” non-professional art project.
